Wine Review: Ménage à Trois Red

In a fresh, new setting what better way to break the ice than to break into some new wine? I was invited to a wine night by some work colleagues last week and unsure as to what their wine tastes were, I brought a recommended red wine: Ménage à Trois Red. This Californian red wine is a composition of Zinfandel, Merlot, and Cabernet Sauvignon. Unlike a lot of reds, it has a sweet taste and finish and can be handled by even the most adamant “whites-only” wine drinker. I personally love this wine because of the aroma…almost a dark chocolate/raspberry. The finish is also delightfully sweet.

Quick Facts:

  • Composition: Zinfandel, Merlot & Cabernet Sauvignon
  • Oak Aging: French & American
  • Alcohol: 13.5%
  • T.A.: .60/100ml
  • pH: 3.55
  • Release Date: June 2008

The Fresh Fridge Tip: This wine would pair well with grilled chicken, fresh garden salsa, gouda cheese, or dark chocolate.
