Raspberry Orange Sherbet Floats

Wow, I can’t believe we are already on day 4 of “Float Week”! Wahoo! Today’s float is my kid-friendly favorite - Raspberry Orange Sherbet Floats.

This float brings me back to the days of orange push popsicles. I was the kid who had creamy orange popsicle running down my arms at the beach, despite the protective layer of cardboard. So, when I discovered that same creamy goodness in a frosty mug, how could I resist?

These creamy sweet n’ sour treats are made with orange sherbet, 7 Up and raspberries! Super easy and super delicious. I call that a “win/win”.

These are on my list pretty much anytime for a quick, cool treat, but I absolutely love the idea of these in fun little cups with a crazy straw at a kid’s birthday party!

Enjoy!

Caramel Hot Chocolate Floats

Day 3 of “Float Week” is Caramel Hot Chocolate Floats! I know what you may be thinking…a scoop of ice cream in hot chocolate?? Trust me, these are amazing!

The hot of the hot chocolate and the cold of the ice cream is perfect for a frosty day. I am one of those people who always adds an ice cube to the piping hot chocolate mug, so I can’t believe I never thought of adding ice cream instead!

These creamy hot chocolate treats are made with a scoop of caramel ice cream, traditional hot chocolate, and topped with whipped cream and dark chocolate shavings. Sooo yummy!

I can’t wait for our first snowy day so I can whip these up!

Enjoy!

Black & Blue Floats

Today’s float is the “Black and Blue”! It is a combination of Blackberry carbonated fruit juice and vanilla ice cream, topped with low-fat whipped cream and blueberries! Despite it’s name, this float is pretty painless. :)

What I love about this float is there is NO soda in it. This is a great healthier version of the traditional float with yummy blackberry and blueberry.

What I also love about these is that they are also Patriotic with hues of red, white, and blue! Great for celebrating 4th of July with the family with a yummy, cool treat!

So break out your frosted glass and have a “black & blue” ! (No pain involved!)

Enjoy!

Apple Cider Floats

To start off the “birthday” week right (The Fresh Fridge 1 year mark, that is), I wanted to share one of my absolute favorite frozen treats - Apple Cider Floats.

While it is still the middle of summer and 100 degrees in many places, this float is a nice reminder that Fall will eventually come - along with beautiful leaves, pumpkin patches, and trips to the cider mill. :)

This float actually surprised me with how well the flavors balanced out. My husband can attest that it is definitely his favorite. It has a touch of sour green apple balanced by the creamy, sweet vanilla ice cream and a dash of cinnamon. The cider and ginger ale tastes great served with an apple slice - these are super fun treats to share.

I plan on using these for a Back 2 School treat once school is back in full swing and eventually for a Fall Fest Dessert (especially when our local cider mill is back!). With a tiny apple slice, these were actually pretty fun to make miniaturized as a quick snack (or sweet tooth craving!).

Enjoy!
