To start off the “birthday” week right (The Fresh Fridge 1 year mark, that is), I wanted to share one of my absolute favorite frozen treats - Apple Cider Floats.
While it is still the middle of summer and 100 degrees in many places, this float is a nice reminder that Fall will eventually come - along with beautiful leaves, pumpkin patches, and trips to the cider mill.
This float actually surprised me with how well the flavors balanced out. My husband can attest that it is definitely his favorite. It has a touch of sour green apple balanced by the creamy, sweet vanilla ice cream and a dash of cinnamon. The cider and ginger ale tastes great served with an apple slice - these are super fun treats to share.
I plan on using these for a Back 2 School treat once school is back in full swing and eventually for a Fall Fest Dessert (especially when our local cider mill is back!). With a tiny apple slice, these were actually pretty fun to make miniaturized as a quick snack (or sweet tooth craving!).
Enjoy!
