I like themes. Especially breakfast themes. Not only are they tasty and make me hungry pretty much anytime of the day. But, they are the first yummy thing in the morning. Not only do I believe that having breakfast in the morning is essential, but I also think that it sets the tone of the day. Crappy cup of coffee and stale pastry? Your not going to have the best day. Sorry. Delicious bagels, or fresh scrambled eggs, OR cool delicious & nutritious smoothie? Good morning sunshine! You are officially a rockstar morning starter. And best of all, it didn’t even take you long to make. Seriously, the coffee maker brewing your black hole of caffeine magic probably took longer than this tasty dish. So, good morning, happy day…it’s smoothie time!
- 2 cups forzen triple berry frozen fruit
- 2/3 cup non-fat plain yogurt
- 1 tablespoon white sugar (or sugar substitute)
- Load all the ingredients into a blender
- Blend until smooth & serve!
The Fresh Fridge Tip: Let the frozen fruit thaw a little bit before blending to help them get through the blender. If it turns out to thick or not chilly enough you can add some ice cubes or cool in the fridge.
